K-State Basketball
Jamar Samuels has been dating Washburn's Ebonie Williams for almost three years now. It sounds like a good relationship, but Samuels apparently cheats at one-on-one (basketball, you jerks).
K-State Baseball
Pitching is the biggest question mark for K-State baseball this season. After losing Kyle Hunter, Evan Marshall and James Allen to the MLB Draft, that's hardly a surprise.
Big 12 Basketball
Who gets the best home-court advantage, at least in terms of foul differential? It's Missouri, and by a full foul per game.
Kansas City is the fourth-ranked market market in the country for college-basketball viewership.
Big 12 Football
Dennis Dodd has seven Big 12 schools ranked in his preseason top 25, with K-State checking in at 15.
The KU ticket scandal just won't go away
We now find out that two Lawrence police officers have been suspended after an FBI investigation indicated they were fixing traffic tickets in exchange for KU basketball tickets.
Delta State Fighting Oooooooooooooooooookras
Would you mess with this mascot? No, no you wouldn't. It's a fighting Okra. It will throw you a football. Then it will give you an intimidating look before annihilating you and spiking the ball over your corpse.

Oh My God
THIS video and THIS video make me want to see what type of Grad programs they have.
Go State!
BlackCats - February 17, 2012
How does it throw a football with boxing glove hands?
Maybe it is more dextrous than Truman Tiger.
We should really try to foster the rivalry between Delta State and THE Texas State Tire College…must see TV.
MadCat - February 17, 2012
Can Roll Tire throw a football?
We obviously need to upgrade our mascot super-powers…Where are the Wonder Twins rings anyway?
mac attack ict - February 17, 2012
Not sure but he can throw some tires on your vehicle like no ones business.
Roll Tire!

k-stater86 - February 17, 2012
"She only yells at me when I get into foul trouble,’’ Samuels said. "I get that from her a lot.’’
classic!
xrayxtals - February 17, 2012
Interesting, I would not have guessed this...
xrayxtals - February 17, 2012
I'm sure the +36 game last weekend
had no impact on that differential…

I'm happy for Jamar & Ebonie
Judging from their tweets they seem to be really happy together and to really lean on eachother for support. Having someone to relate to when you’re young and far from home is a blessing. If said someone also happens to be easy on the eyes then even better!
I better not let my wife read this article. She’s got a mad Jamar crush and she might get a little hysterical seeing him talk about his special lady ;)

What stands out to me with the officiating article
is that although Kstate wasn’t that low in getting fouls on the road, we were last at getting to the line (if I was quickly scanning correctly). I can recall so many make up calls on the road this year where we benefitted nothing, just took the ball out of bounds. Nothing pisses me off more about reffing than when they screw up a call that really benefits one team and then try to make it look even by calling a non-shooting touch foul on the other team. We have had the short end this year for sure, but maybe that will change (Haha).

More brazen criminality from KU Athletics
Anyone surprised?
iCatDormRat - February 17, 2012
Not. One. Bit.
BlackCats - February 17, 2012
Not nice.
Don’t let some scumbags depress your image of an entire group.
Sean T - February 17, 2012
We ARE talking about Jayhwaks here.
They are all scumbags…
ChrisP Wildcat - February 17, 2012
VaTech loses...AGAIN
not a quality win for us
ksu&warpaint - February 17, 2012
How did they do that????
Up by two with like 10 seconds left….
iCatDormRat - February 17, 2012
Up by 15 with 14 minutes left
and up by 8 with a minute and a half let. Scored 6 points in the final 8 minutes.
That’s turrrrible.
gw1754 - February 17, 2012
sound like any team you know???
ksu&warpaint - February 17, 2012
Nothing to see here, please move along...

At least it's not a bad loss.

It’s time to Rodeo!
BlackCats - February 17, 2012
Sounds good. I'm going with my wife and a pair of our friends. I've never been to a rodeo before.

I went to that one year.

One of these days
Delta State needs to officially change their nickname to the Fighting Okra. (They’re officially the Statesmen).
The other awesome thing about Delta? Their actual logo is just Delta. As in the Greek letter, Delta.

Second verse same as the first...
Nothing insightful, but to be expected.
mac attack ict - February 17, 2012
I like seeing that West Virginia is going with a 3-4 look on D
And in the first year of it I hope we can expect them giving up lots of yards and points. We could have a shot in Morgantown if our D can improve a little.
mjk7166 - February 17, 2012
I can't imagine that their O will have anything near the same success against Big XII defenses...except when the play KU of course.
but that will be determined on the field. A blessing of all this conference turmoil is for some new blood to see exactly how good this league is – I expect the season to wear on both WVU and TCU. Of course it will simply be down years or something else according to the national media, but so be it.
I just really hope we are exploring at least 12 if not 14 team expansion in the near future…there are only so many gems left out there.

Mock Selection Sunday has KSU in the tourney.
Latest Bracketology has us in as a 12 seed.
If we can win 3 more games we’re in very solid shape. If one of those wins is against Baylor or Mizzou, punch the ticket.
And if we get into the tournament, then NO ONE should have anything more to say negative about Frank. With the team this year and it’s various issues, getting into the tourney would be a huge achievement.

Getting after it tomorrow
