RPI WATCH: 1/26/12

A home loss to freakin' BYU? Virginia Tech, you are dead to me. You're the Texas A&M of the ACC.

A road loss to freakin' St. John's? WTF, Huggs? Did your team suddenly decide it didn't want to finish in the Big East's top four?

A road loss to freakin' SOUTH CAROLINA? OMG, Alabama. OMG. DIAF.

Your probably can gather at this point that very little of a positive nature occurs after the jump. You'd be right.

When the highlight is Long Beach State narrowly escaping Jim Wooldridge's UC Riverside team in overtime, it's hard to say it even was a mediocre week for our non-conference resume.

Other than the OU loss there is nothing to be ashamed of here.

All we can do now is win as many or all conference games from here to the finish. A decent showing in the Big 12 Tourney and look for a 4/5 seed in the tournament.

Here's to rooting

For Alabama to beat Arkansas and for WV to top ’cuse.

MU looking hungover from the OSU loss. BU appears back on track, unless Texas has a monster second half.

…those would be the only games worth a mention without threat of a jinx.

Never been more pumped to watch a Cyclone game!

Best case scenario here.

KU loses, putting as back in a potential title race.

ISU sets itself up for a letdown game next week against us.

Let’s take care of business tonight at home!

Yes, I wouldn't let myself believe they could actually win until they were up 8 with 15 seconds left.

Now all we have to do is win out. Should be a piece of cake, right?

ISU actuallys worries be a bit. Fiesty team.
Iowa State worries me a lot
ISU winning today was HUGE for our game Tuesday.

Because if they’d have lost, it would be a “season on the line” game. As it is, they still pretty much have to have a win against KSU, but it won’t be quite as bad a situation as it could have been for us.

I think its a lot like the football game.

Before that friday night game we looked at Iowa State as a desperate team coming in searching for a bowl eligible win but once they beat somebody they were much less desperate.

And we also knew how well they could play
Of course they should worry us, especially at their place

but this becomes a classic let down game, as opposed to say losing to KU right at the end and coming in pissed when we play them.

In reality, we just have to score more points than they do, come Tuesday. :)

K-State needs to worry about every game ... since we've lost 2 that we should have won.
well gee

I thought we had them all in the bag
