Totally off topic. Didn't we have a discussion on here not too long ago about how different parts of the country refer to carbonated beverages. This is a much more detailed map than I have ever seen before.

I thought I had posted the link to the source page when I posted it before.
was it THIS map?

I know I have seen these maps before (and I know one was posted in the previous discussion), but I have never seen one broken down to the county level.

Yes the soda vs pop vs coke map is done at a county level.
Yes, you did.

For shame, Jeremy, for shame.

Further proof that Missouri will not fit in the SEC
You know, I've always thought that Linn County

might as well be a part of Missouri. I mean the whole county seems to be full of hillbillies. Turns out, according to this map, they might as well be a part of Arkansas. Totally explains things for me now.

Now before anyone from Linn County (if they even have the internet there) blasts me for this comment, I apologize. I know there are a few normal people from there.

I'm pretty convinced that Linn County is the Ozarks.
So apparently Rose County Nebraska is full of either southern californians or new yorkers
Rose County? I know of no Rose County in Nebraska.
Its always been Soda for me
What could other possibly be? RC cola
Gimme a litre o' cola.
I was thinking about this the other day after posting this...

so, when I am on vacation and am in an unfamiliar location, I think I will ask for a “soda-pop-cola-coke-carbonated beverage”. That should cover all the bases.
