I need to preface this by saying that this is not an anti-Snyder post. In no way shape or form do I believe Coach's new deal is a bad thing. Regardless of my past concerns regarding his hire, Coach Snyder has quelled several of my fears, and I'm totally on board at this point.
That said, it might not be a good idea to announce all of this the day before your first road game of the year...after your first game where you struggled against an FCS opponent.
I'm not picking KSU to lose this game, but all I'm saying is that there could be some bad mojo. That's all.
I mean, hell, they Twittered about it.
Again, call me superstitious, but don't anger the things up on high. They don't like it when you do that.

I agree
Is most troubling.

at least they are
giving the extension to a proven coach, not just one who kinda got to a bowl game then played the race card a lot. Its still bad timing, but maybe they figure it will help with recruiting or team stability…hopefully.

The contract was coming anyway...
Hey after last season’s contract fiasco I for one am glad that this business has been taken care of early. Hopefully everything is transparent and copasetic and we can get on to the business at hand on the field. $250,000 for a BCS championship? Any bumps for repeating…I’m just saying.

Definately. But they could have just let it slide until Monday.
