Four participants have their national champion still alive even after two one-seeds bit the dust today. Special props to catman for calling the Michigan State upset over Louisville, as the Spartans might be pretty tough in Detroit. In other news, apparently it was a bad year for the algorithm as Panjandrum is languishing toward the bottom and lost his national champion to Missouri and its three-quarter-court heave.
I'll announce the prize for the winner after next Monday's championship game.

Oh and another thing.
I had read something on ESPN before the tournament started about how the guy who won the tourney challenge last year set up his picks and one “rule” really stood out:
Have MIchigan State win one more game than you would have thought.
I thought they were a good candidate for an elite 8 appearence, but nothing further. So I followed that rule and put them into the final 4. Boo-yah.

Was picking this year as hard for you...
… as it was for me. I really thought this was the year for Gonzaga, they were kinda quiet and I think underseeded. I took a gamble with Sparty and I hope it pays off. I really wasn’t sure if they could beat the Cards but they did and now clearly have the home court advantage. I think they have the confidence to beat anyone and Izzo can prepare a team better than anyone. The game against UCONN will be a fun one to watch.

Half of my championship game is gone with Oklahoma...
Man, UNC sure stomped them. Oh well, half of my Final Four is still intact. I really need UConn to beat Mich. State.
On a side note…now that Michigan State is in the Final Four, a riot is imminent in East Lansing…it may be worse with the Final Four in Detroit.
