All right, game on.
The key to tonight's game, to me, is: Can Dominique Sutton shut down, or at least mitigate, Klay Thompson? If he can, I think we have the advantage in the paint and our veteran guards will help us offset the Cougars' perimeter scoring.
In all reality, if our team gets its head straight and shows up to play, we will win this game because we have better talent. The reason we're all worried is because it's a referendum on the team's mentality, and in essence, its season prospects.
I guess we'll see. But I'm optimistic and I trust Frank. Should be a fun one.

Especially re: shooting percentages. I’ll be happy with intense defense and good shot selection, and we MUST crash the boards.
We do all that, and it will take care of itself, even if it looks a bit ugly. We can’t shoot a bunch and play Wazzu’s game, or we will lose. We have to make them miss some shots.

What is so hard about free throws? After graduation I moved into ACC land…watch Duke, UNC, WF and you begin to see the disparity in our shooting percentage and how it relates to overall season and post-season selection/success. Also 30% from 3-pt is not asking too much from the talented guards we have on our team. Look at the FHSU numbers and see how they were able to hit on their opportunities while we shot poorly and how those numbers correlated to percentage of overall points. I would agree that defense needs to be solid in the paint and more hands in the face on the perimeter.

Here's the thing about KSU basketball under Frank...
the team is so intense defensively, that when they actually hit shots, you can see other team look defeated pretty early.
WSU looks whipped as they go in at half. It’s like they don’t know what in the hell they can do to stop this team.

…Nebraska absolutely shoots itself in the face by kicking the ball out of bounds and then Asante (of all people) gets called for a horse collar tackle. I don’t want to sound like a whiny bitch re: Texas, but they were lucky as hell to win this game tonight. That last pass by McCoy hit the ground with maaaaaybe 0.5 on the clock, and that field goal was inside the upright by maaaaybe a foot.
A lot can happen in a month, but after watching both teams tonight, I would have to guess ’Bama by 10 in Pasadena.

Frank so pissed before. He had the “I could kill a man” look in his eyes, and it was all Underwood could do to keep him restrained. I really thought he was gonna get ejected. Though the rest of the team kinda sparked on that and it turned out alright for us.
