You know what's amazing?
Watching the lead-in to College GameDay and taking note of the number of featured teams that suck now.
TB - October 25, 2008
I was thinking the exact same thing when watching it.
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Good luck today
Just hope we make it competitive. Maybe the troops will rally around Prince after yesterday.
TB - October 25, 2008
What happened yesterday?
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Prince’s father passed.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Ron Prince’s father died. He’s going to coach today, apparently his dad had been sick for quite a while, so it wasn’t altogether unexpected. Panjandrum linked a news story about it in a FanShot just below this open thread.
TB - October 25, 2008
I Overlooked That!
I really hate to hear that. That is tragic.
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Anybody going to be around here for the game?
I’m watching the game solo today – roommates outta town.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I'll be here throughout the game
I’m guessing Panjandrum will be in attendance today. Not sure about EMAW.
Hell, let’s just use this as a roll call for who’s going to be around today. And no, I won’t be surprised if there are only about three responses to this message.
TB - October 25, 2008
Well it is a home game.
But I’ll be sitting in front of the 52 with my laptop in my lap.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Is it just me...
…or is GameDay completely ignoring the Big 12 today? I head a little bit about OSU/Texas and a brief mention of TTU/KU, but that’s been it.
TB - October 25, 2008
I avoid gameday.
Really it’s a health issue. My doctor said the risk of me getting a brain aneurysm increases while listening to Lee Corso.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
PRESENT
Sorry I’’m late to the party….the flu has pretty much set in completely, so this should be interesting. I’m home alone (wife’s in Iowa) with the dog, some nyquil, and a bottle of Crown….
EMAW - October 25, 2008
I think we all know...
…which of those is most important. Hope that whisky is soothing.
TB - October 25, 2008
I'm going to go with Knob
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
My comfort will be...
…Shiner Bock, unless things get really bad.
TB - October 25, 2008
So, TB
have you become one of the transplants that think Shiner Bock is the king of beers? I have an old roommate that now lives in Ft. Worth, and he thinks Shiner is the ultimate beer. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, I just find it funny that if you’re in TX, you almost feel obligated to drink it. Kind of like Boulevard in KC…
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Shiner's a good beer
But I haven’t really known many people to say it’s the king of beers. I’ll choose it over any bud, coors, or miller product. I may even drink it at the bars on occasion.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I like all Shiner beers...
…and actually think their Bohemian Black Lager the best. But no, Boulevard is still at the top of my beer list.
TB - October 25, 2008
blvd.
is a great beer, but it’s not even in my top 5
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Snob
TB - October 25, 2008
don't hate
because i have a fine taste and an extensive palette of experience. it wouldn’t hurt to branch out a little.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
You apparently didn't notice...
…the lineup of beers ringing the cabinets in my kitchen.
TB - October 25, 2008
I wasn't impressed.
Those were the token beers. Besides, anyone who has a roommate who collects heineken caps looses all credibility.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
We collect...
…all our caps, but we keep the Heineken caps separate.
TB - October 25, 2008
my point exactly….
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Blvd is definitely at top of my list
But I do like Shiner (especially the Blonde).
EMAW - October 25, 2008
I cut my lip...
…on a poorly opened bottle of Shiner Blonde one time, so I took that as a sign.
And the person who opened that bottle…yep, it was me.
TB - October 25, 2008
Maybe it's because I'm a Texan transplanted in the Midwest
But give me Shiner over Boulevard all seven days of the week. Bock and Blonde are liquid gold.
RPT - October 25, 2008
Memorial stadium????
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Why is the guy on fsn yelling?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I'm watching...
…TTU/KU right now. No clue.
TB - October 25, 2008
looks like a shootout
it’s going to be an 80 point day in lawrence
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I think I picked Tech
for that game, but seriously re-thinking my decision.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
tech's the smart
and only pick. i should have put money on the game i’m so confident
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Anyone know what the over/under was on TTU/KU?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
68.5
RPT - October 25, 2008
god those are ugly red uni's
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
and espn should be ashamed of themselves.
that stadium in lawrence should not be shown in HD
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
They're throwback unis...
from when they won their first meaningful bowl game…
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Zing!
RPT - October 25, 2008
DROP HIM DROP HIM DROP HIM
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I was thinking the same thing
though, that’s not as hokey as when he jumps off the top of an RV to do the open….get a new gimmick dude.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
you know he doesn't take his wallet
when he crowd surfs. idiot..
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
What's great...
Is last year’s KSU/Mizzou game, where the KSU fans dumped him over the back of the couch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Bhboi8MZw
RPT - October 25, 2008
ha ha
classic
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Sweet
I always enjoy watching the KSU student section. I was in Manhattan for the KSU/Baylor game last year and I came away very impressed with the students.
Hopefully Freeman and Co. can keep ’em in the game today.
RPT - October 25, 2008
You probably
won’t be very impressed today. The crowds have been very off this year.
TB - October 25, 2008
Yep, student section isn't full...
just sad.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
God, I love HD
EMAW - October 25, 2008
freeman
looks a lot skinnier in HD
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Flipping between the KU/TTU and OU/KSU games...
The “Rip his f*cking head off” at Kansas has only gotten louder since the “university” tried to stop it
RPT - October 25, 2008
We don't have one senior starting on offense
next year….next year…
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
and only
Campbell on D
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Who told Freeman he was Robert Griffin?
RPT - October 25, 2008
RUN THE BALL
for christ’s sake
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
THAT'S why you run the ball.
A play action fake is useless if the other team knows you don’t run it.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
It just illustrates...
…how little of an offensive game plan we have. Yes, let’s run play-action, without having tried an actual running play to set it up.
TB - October 25, 2008
Another useless play-action
EMAW - October 25, 2008
They should change 'Beamer Ball'
to K-State ball
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Auston English...
… still haunts my dreams.
RPT - October 25, 2008
uggg
out comes the whiskey
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
that didn't take long...
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Well at least we can say
that Freeman’s only thrown one true interception all season….
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
If they don't run the ball
on the first play of this drive i’m going to loose it.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
it’s going to be a long day..
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
What the fuck?!
Will someone tell our OC that play-action doesn’t work if you don’t try to run the freaking ball!
TB - October 25, 2008
On another note...
…no defense in Lawrence, today, I see.
TB - October 25, 2008
and then there was A FIRE FIGHT!
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Please note...
…we took only about 1:00 of game clock off on that drive. Way to protect that defense.
TB - October 25, 2008
that's what's been killing us all season
especially last week against CU. you’re not going to win any games when you hold the ball 8 minutes in the second half.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
At least we had good coverage on the punt!
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Man i hate live TV
can’t fast forward through the commercials
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Wow
Baylor just broke a long run for TD to tie up the game.
TB - October 25, 2008
Listening to Dave Lapham is painful
RPT - October 25, 2008
RPT, can you explain...
…why Mizzou wasted good advertising dollars showing a commercial during a K-State/Oklahoma game?
TB - October 25, 2008
fsn southwest
showed one during the pregame
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I just wondered the exact same thing
Either that or FSN screwed up and played the wrong commercial.
I’m not a big fan of that commercial, although it’s an excuse to laugh at the fact that the dean of the School of Journalism is Dean Dean Mills.
RPT - October 25, 2008
I almost...
…transferred to Mizzou’s j-school. I would have enjoyed having a Dean named Dean.
TB - October 25, 2008
then there's dean law at k-state in the capd
it just sounds intimidating, although the man is not.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Well, moral victory there
We at least forced OU into third and long.
TB - October 25, 2008
gee
another missed tackle…on third down none-the-less
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
there we go
damn murphy isn’t that fast, jordy would have had it……
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
good pick up of the blitz
just a bad throw
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Thank you, Deon
When he gets a hole and is running downhill, he’s one of the best in the nation. If only he could have finished it.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Really?
So KSU decides to establish the running game by having Freeman run a QB draw off a jet sweep?
RPT - October 25, 2008
I sometimes think...
…our offensive plays are being called by somebody sitting at home playing PS3.
TB - October 25, 2008
You say as they run the WR pass
PS3, indeed.
RPT - October 25, 2008
as retarded as that sounds
yup, sounds about right
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Yay!
The halfback pass!
TB - October 25, 2008
even our running game is passing...
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
There's a little bold and daring
Not as pretty as Jordy throwing it, but I’ll take it.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Is that...
…indisputable video evidence?
TB - October 25, 2008
he's in
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
LOL!
At the guy dressed as Dorothy with the purple wig!
EMAW - October 25, 2008
although we scored
it only took 1.28 off the clock
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
How did we not recover that?
Damn!!!
TB - October 25, 2008
Our offense and special teams
are going to have to step up…
EMAW - October 25, 2008
i like that "fake trip"
never sen that one before. not a bad concept, but if you teach the regular sp. teams player to do that it would be more effective. how did they not see that coming with two kickers on the field at the same time.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Yeah, I liked the idea...
just bad execution. It looked like our flyers on that side of the field got a bad jump.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
By the way
This just in: Robert Hot Tub Griffin is extremely talented.
47 yards down the sideline for a TD. 14-7, Baylor.
RPT - October 25, 2008
He is the truth
Nebraska better get ready.
TB - October 25, 2008
tech up 28-14
there’s going to be a lot of points put up today in the big 12
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Isn't it a penalty
if you move more than 2 steps after calling for a fair catch?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
OU is moving the ball at will
are we ever going to stop them?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Well, OU is only on pace
to score 56 by halftime.
TB - October 25, 2008
what's the over/under on how many more TD's
OU’s going to get this quarter? I’m guessing one and i’m going with the over….
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
what's the record for total points in a quarter?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I'm looking that up
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Attaboy Banks!
If you keep it below his helmet, he can catch it. Man he’s fast.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
That was pretty awesome
TB - October 25, 2008
boy's got speed
mad speed
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
That kid had some wheels!
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
He is amazing
5’7", 142 lbs.
TB - October 25, 2008
Unfortunately...
…it sets up OU to score again before the quarter ends.
TB - October 25, 2008
Wow
That drop was huge.
TB - October 25, 2008
Nice hit Carney!
Whoo, we forced a punt!
TB - October 25, 2008
need a stop
AND GOT ONE!!! HOLY SHIT!!! WE STOPPED THEM ONCE!!!
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Bradford
can just put it wherever he wants it….
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Dold
has some nice hands out of the backfield.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Freeman really is...
…a man mountain.
TB - October 25, 2008
That's why he doesn't get sacked
HOLY SHIT. you sir are a man-beast.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
From Panjandrum, via text message...
“Random thought…Banks will be awesome in the CFL with the wide field and open spaces.”
TB - October 25, 2008
lol
EMAW - October 25, 2008
First Quarter Report
No team has had the ball for more than 5 plays in any of their 6 touchdown drives…
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Haha
Awesome
RPT - October 25, 2008
Again, from Panjandrum, via text message...
…“Optimism in stands high. Fans now jovial. TD here keeps fans in the stands. Boomer sooner is played after every fucking down. I hate it.”
TB - October 25, 2008
Why the hell do we allow
OU’s band to come? I can understand other bands, but that one has to be an exception….
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Holy crap
MASTRUD!!!
TB - October 25, 2008
good lord
where was this last weekend against CU?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I've got to ask...
That’s cool about Freeman breaking the record and all, but is anyone at KSU really going to put him in the company of Roberson and Bishop?
RPT - October 25, 2008
Bishop? No
Roberson? Probably. The only difference is that with Roberson, our teams were much more dominant (having Sproles didn’t hurt). Unfortunately for Josh, he’s the byproduct of a rebuilding system, so he may only have a 1 bowl game loss to show for his years here.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
yes and no
he’s the best statistical qb k-state has ever seen, and he’s won some big games. but he hasn’t led the team to a good season yet
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Good question
It’s so hard to compare different eras. Certainly those two QBs led us to more wins and more overall success, which probably shows the overall talent deficiency we’re facing right now. We will certainly consider Freeman one of the best players ever to wear purple, but you can’t compare him to those guys who had so much team success.
TB - October 25, 2008
Welcome back to the game, KSU
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
We'll take it...
…I’m still not sure I’m not just hungover, though. What has happened to this group?
TB - October 25, 2008
Panjandrum, again via text message...
“Fans happy. Like a Greatful Dead concert after everyone is good and high.”
TB - October 25, 2008
he is in manhattan right?
sounds a lot like lawrence…..
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
He didn't say they were high
Just that everyone is very happy, like they were high.
TB - October 25, 2008
Tell him
to keep it up. It sounds like it is getting pretty loud there when our D is on the field.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Why do I get the feeling...
…that all these running plays are setting us up for play-action?
TB - October 25, 2008
ou maybe just try to calm the game down
keep our offense off the field….
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Nice stop!
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Nice stop!
That’s huge.
TB - October 25, 2008
In other news...
…Baylor leads Nebraska, 14-10, in Lincoln, with about 5 minutes left in the first half.
TB - October 25, 2008
only 24 points?
lame
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Ahahaha...
I just saw the purple wig Dorothy guy. That’s hilarious.
RPT - October 25, 2008
That guy dressed as Dorothy...
…really is a classic. Nice catch there, EMAW.
TB - October 25, 2008
I'm just glad it wasn't the Nyquil/Whiskey mixture
that made me see the Dorothy.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Logan Dold
There’s nothing flashy about this guy, but I really like the kid. He runs smart and grinds out every inch he can get.
TB - October 25, 2008
Wow
Great catch Ernie.
TB - October 25, 2008
Josh Freeman's arm:
RPT - October 25, 2008
LOL
Awesome. +1 for RPT.
TB - October 25, 2008
NICE CATCH, ERNIE!
Rubber duckies for everyone!
EMAW - October 25, 2008
YES!
although that’s a definite no call.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Tie Game!!!
TB - October 25, 2008
wow
now i wish i traveled three weeks in a row to be in manhattan
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
We are picking up their blitzes
pretty nicely…
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Wow!
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Freeman is picking up
his slack for his sub-par performances so far in the big 12 games
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
He's getting pretty good protection...
…and he’s making nice throws.
TB - October 25, 2008
I'm not sure...
…that shouldn’t have been pass interference. Maybe they were both leaning on each other.
TB - October 25, 2008
And then we fall down in coverage
Dammit
TB - October 25, 2008
With all this talk about our offense
our D has been pretty solid afer the first four tds.
and as i’m typing there’s a big play by ou…
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Wow, I thought that was a TD
Hope we’re not just delaying the inevitable.
TB - October 25, 2008
murray = athlete
murray = moreno
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
another dropped pass!
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
THey are stealing a page from our playbook
EMAW - October 25, 2008
dammit, couldn't take advantage
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Bradford has some big brass balls
Nice completion on 4th.
Stoops realizes you don’t bring a knife to a gun fight.
TB - October 25, 2008
where the hell
was that pass thrown?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Oh, Ernie
Catch first, run second.
TB - October 25, 2008
dammit pierce
you’re a wildcat, not a sooner
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Sonofabitch
TB - October 25, 2008
shit
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Damn
I thought he was down…doesn’t look like it.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
It's close
But I think it was coming out.
TB - October 25, 2008
nah, that's a fumble
“as i was speaking, i was getting a page”
classic
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
That was great
TB - October 25, 2008
man we need to force a turnover here
that’s been a huge problem for us lately
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Another drop!
EMAW - October 25, 2008
another drop!
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
And then a conversion
Dammit
TB - October 25, 2008
and then a touchdown...
and that’s were juco’s can’t complete with the size of oklahoma
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Goddammit
Well, back to the defense we’ve been seeing.
TB - October 25, 2008
At least they shanked the PAT
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Haha
I never tire of seeing kicks bonk off the upright.
TB - October 25, 2008
Yay, Sproles highlights
I love that guy.
“Wade, in the water. Wildcats gonna trouble, the water!”
TB - October 25, 2008
it's only fitting that
they show 2003 after they showed 2000 early on
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Umm, I think that should have been pass interference
But as always, I could be wrong. It certainly would have been PI last week in Boulder.
TB - October 25, 2008
way to make it up pierce
he’s going to need a catcher’s mit for that fastball
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Terrible decision making by Freeman there
Gotta think there’s someone over there.
TB - October 25, 2008
shit
read that a little too well, he must be on steriods…….test them all
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
DAMMIT!!!
They read that screen like a damn magazine article (I don’t think Sooners read books).
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Come on Now!
They read books. Especially ones with pictures.
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
lol
EMAW - October 25, 2008
That was awesome CCM
+1
TB - October 25, 2008
everybody likes those
it doesn’t matter what school you went to, everybody loves pictures!
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
"you can tripod yourself"
f’ing awesome. this game is giving us some great quotes
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Those friggin ponies are so gay!
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
???
I missed it.
TB - October 25, 2008
OU Mascots, Boomer and Sooner
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Oh, I see
I didn’t realize they went to away games.
TB - October 25, 2008
49-14 in lawrence
game’s getting out of hand
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
yikes
that game may end up worse than our score against tech
EMAW - October 25, 2008
dammit
we need some bigger receivers. gotta commend freeman to be able to throw accurate passes to little men
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I don't understand...
…why Freeman’s just looking downfield. Why are we not trying to run the ball, or complete some short passes.
TB - October 25, 2008
FUCK WHAT ARE YOU DOING
we’re giving up again at the half again! why run the ball now?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Well, we didn't really give up...
…but that wasn’t so good.
TB - October 25, 2008
when you run the clock out after a failed run
that usually means you’re giving up. i was surprised they threw the ball downfield after that
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
12 td's in the first half so far
and we only have four of them
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I may need to go get some whisky
I’m not sure I can drink beer fast enough to numb myself from this.
TB - October 25, 2008
FWIW
The most points scored in a game by an opponent at BSFS is 75….by Oklahoma back in the 70’s. That record may fall today.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
only if we can continue to put up points
otherwise the dogs will be called up, at the start of the 3rd quarter of course
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
jesus
we just tied the most points in a WHOLE game this season in the big 12 in the FIRST FRIGGIN’ HALF
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I knew...
…Freeman’s casual approach to tucking the ball would bite us at some point. I hope Stoops takes a knee here…but I don’t expect it.
TB - October 25, 2008
looks like they want to score 62
in the first half…
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
this is truely become
a PS3 game
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Has Panjandrum hurled himself off the upper deck yet?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
His latest text message
“Fuck my life.”
TB - October 25, 2008
i'm lucky
my condo’s on the 2nd floor, only minimal injuries
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
what is with the turnovers?
just dreadful
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
kneel it asshole
call off the dogs. no need for this after the penalty
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
It's our job to stop them
Stoops will give no quarter.
TB - October 25, 2008
It was still the first half
Anything is free game in the first half. If you can score 100 take it. You won’t see that in the 2nd half.
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
i don't know
i have mixed feelings about that, now if that was second string out there (way too early for that though) i wouldn’t have a problem with that
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
it took tech
3 quarters to hang 56 points, lame
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
I believe Freeman will throw for 500 today
already over 300, but he might tack on a few more turnovers though….
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
The only problem with that...
…is that if we keep throwing, we lengthen the game, possibly turn the ball over, and (if we score a few TDs) put the pressure on Stoops to keep tacking on scores. Oklahoma could well score 80 today, if they feel like they need to.
TB - October 25, 2008
Halftime stats
Freeman: 17/27, 326 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs
Bradford: 12/23, 223 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
Total Yards
K-State: 369
OU: 400
TB - October 25, 2008
On a happier note...
…congrats, folks, this is the longest open thread in BOTC history.
TB - October 25, 2008
nice
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
if the cat's and the sooners
can score 83 points in a half, it’s only fitting that we set a botc record for comments in the first half…..
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Congrats!
Now, if you really want to set a record just have your team drop a clunker in the Fiesta Bow once or twice. You’ll have all kinds of comments then.
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Question for you ccm
Were there any fans that wanted Stoops fired after either of those games?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Gawd, if there were...
…I’d have taken him back in Manhattan in an instant.
TB - October 25, 2008
They just showed...
…KU fans sleeping on the bleachers in Lawrence. We’re gonna get our asses kicked (we already are) but that made my day.
TB - October 25, 2008
This is a class, from Panjandrum via text message...
“Please inform posters that they can purchase the history of ksu basketball dvd on nov. 18. Looks good. God damn Kernkraft tecno song is on. This day can’t get worse. Or can it?”
TB - October 25, 2008
alright, nice 3 and out to start
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
mountain man
delivers again
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
That was a dangerous pass
but, at least we got the conversion.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Six and a half minutes and no one has scored yet in the second half.
I’m Bored!
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
That's why you don't
kick field goals when you’re down 4 scores…damn
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Talk about bringing brass knuckles to a gun fight
TB - October 25, 2008
What do you expect to gain from a field goal
when you’re down 27 points in the second half?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
To Only Be Down By 24 Points?
ccmachine - October 25, 2008
Just chip away at it
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Holy Hell!
Logan Dold just ran straight forward for nine yards. Wow. That was awesome.
TB - October 25, 2008
Nice run Logan!
Just as Knox was saying he lost his wallet when he crowd surfed before the game.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
he does that
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
He works for FSN
Not like there’s anything in it.
TB - October 25, 2008
This game...
…needs to hurry the fuck up. I want to watch OSU/UT.
TB - October 25, 2008
i need to go to work
how much does that suck?
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Now really...
…did they just say that OU is worrying about their focus and putting us away in the second half. Really?
TB - October 25, 2008
All I have to say is...
…get it right, Tim. It was 64-0.
Just kidding.
TB - October 25, 2008
3rd and 33
you had better hold them here
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
thank god
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
A score on this drive
will at least prove to me our guys haven’t given up. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hung around and made it a two score game.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Banks just got drilled
I’ve been worrying about that all year. Popped right up though.
TB - October 25, 2008
franks on banks
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Is Dold hurt?
Why is Bell suddenly our running back?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
I have to say this...
…Freeman really is showing what he’s capable of today.
Nice catch by Banks, too. That kid is good.
TB - October 25, 2008
What a run
the dude is nails, you can’t argue with that…
EMAW - October 25, 2008
WHAT THE FUCK!!
why hell don’t you follow the center on those 2 FUCKING PLAYS
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Exactly.
You have the man-mountain and you line up in shotgun twice in a row…did Prince not learn from Mizzou’s mistakes?
EMAW - October 25, 2008
i'm just baffled by this
it doesn’t make any sense why you line up in the shotgun. just awful. someone should get fired for that.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Panjandrum, via text message
Shotgun? Two straight plays? Retarded.
TB - October 25, 2008
A block would be nice
EMAW - October 25, 2008
OU seems to know...
…how to let us get really close but not make the block.
TB - October 25, 2008
why are we starting to establish the run now?
we need points, not clock management
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
We're trying...
…to prevent a blowout.
TB - October 25, 2008
fuck it
i’m showering and going to work. this blows. i’m out
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Don't blame you...
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Alright, if anyone's left...
…I’m switching over to the OSU/UT game. Have a great day.
TB - October 25, 2008
Yep....think I'll do the same.
Take it easy man.
EMAW - October 25, 2008
Those fuckers did it again
RB Murray’s 167 yards, 4 TDs help Sooners pound Jayhawks
Well at least it numbs the pain a little…
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
and they finally corrected it
but that was the original title. idiots.
mystman995 - October 25, 2008
Epilogue: For those that are curious...
1) I’m still alive
2) This game was depressing overall
3) I had nachos, and that was probably the bright spot of my day
Panjandrum - October 25, 2008
Now that I'm home from the game...
The highlight was the on-side kick…it was hilarious seeing the kicker fall flat on his face.
The weather was nice too.
Conspiracy theory: The Big 12 refs are trying to get more than one Big 12 team into the BCS bowl games.
The OU band wasn’t nearly as annoying as the last two times I’ve seen them.
MadCat - October 25, 2008
I'm home
Well, the band annoyed me, but probably not as much as their mullet-horse mascot. I guess I have to forgive them though. The mullet is the official haircut of the state of Oklahoma. Also, I just have to say Boomer and Sooner don’t rhyme. Silly Okies.
I was actually kind of proud despite the ass-kicking. It was the first time all season where I didn’t see the team giving up. For a moment, the fans were actually loud. I closed my eyes and tried to pretend we were back in the good old days… but that was short lived.
I never blamed the fans for leaving early at the TTU game. The people on the call-in show were all upset about it that week. Why should anyone have to stay when the team left at half-time? This time, they fought until the very end. That’s the difference. If they can play like that next week in Lawrence, we might finally get the trophy back where it belongs.
ksubailey - October 26, 2008
After hearing part of the broadcast of OU v. Tech
I have renewed loathing of Boomer Sooner.
